Target & Purpose of the Position:

To facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Factory, ensure production targets & planning is achieved. Ensure safety standards are maintained and adhered to by all personnel.

Content of position:

· Maintain safety standards, safe systems, and safe places of work.

· Perform safety checks on a regular basis e.g., Gemba walks.

· Reporting and correcting of unsafe acts & conditions.

· Implementation of policies and procedures in all areas.

· Enable communication between management and employees.

· The production specifications of all production are compiled to.

· The production quality of all departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

· Participate in the development of and maintain quality & production records for all areas.

· Achieving and beating KPI targets as set by Management (e.g., efficiency, MOEE.)

· Plan, assign work to, and supervise all production operators.

· To correct any deviation in production output.

· Machine set-up and product changeovers.

· Training and coaching of all operators.

· Keep production costs to a minimum.

· Arrange for the timely repair of machinery & equipment and to maintain stock of spares where appropriate in the Factory.

· Maintain employee training records.

· Carry out employee appraisals & make suggestions regarding training and coaching

·        Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

·        Previous experience in supervising multiple staff

·        Proficient in the use of Microsoft word / excel

·        Experience of continuous improvement
