In one of our plants in Zwijndrecht (NL) we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer.

Reporting directly to the European Operational Director of the Protective Division, you will be responsible for optimizing production resources, managing technical projects and participating in the application of continuous improvement tools.

You will work in an international and multicultural environment. This role requires traveling approximately 2 weeks a month abroad. During these travels you will visit our sites of the Protective Europe Division.

Your challenge:

• Actively participate in factory industrial projects (specifications, technical and economic feasibility of the project, search for suppliers, costing, commissioning) and ensure the smooth running of implementation and compliance with deadlines;
• Propose technical solutions to production issues and process improvement, mainly plastic extrusion;
• Support for active subcontracting on all projects;
• Provide technical support to local teams;
• Participate in the development of new products and processes;
• Continue the development of continuous improvement tools.

Job requirements:

• You have good communication skills and like working in team;
• You take a responsible/leading role in projects;
• Have a bachelors degree in (industrial) engineering;
• You have 3 to 5 years experience in the field;
• Master the English language;
• Open to travel for work abroad once in two weeks;
