Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced ERP Operations Manager to join our global IT team at Signode. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of our ERP systems, ensuring 99.99% uptime and managing both cloud and on-premise environments. You will drive operational excellence by implementing and managing global processes and standards, and lead a team of Ops and Support engineers in a 24x7 environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • ERP Operations Management: Design, implement, and maintain global ERP operations processes, ensuring 99.99% uptime and managing both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Deployment and Release Management: Oversee timely and issue-free ERP deployments, create and communicate precise deployment plans, and act as DevOps admin for project structure, process, and reporting.
  • ITSM and Change Management: Lead ITSM processes related to change management, audit controls, and release management, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a global team of engineers, support, and security admins, providing robust ERP platform support and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including Cloud services and Security, to deliver required solutions and support ERP users in a 24x7 environment.
  • Support and Monitoring: Provide SLAs for ERP support tickets, manage Ops Support teams, implement 24x7 monitoring solutions, and ensure critical systems are patched and up-to-date.
  • KPI and Reporting: Generate monthly KPI and reports for C-level reporting, and implement best practices for IT operations across Signode IT applications.
  • User and IT Support: Provide user and IT support in a 24x7 environment, including weekends, ensuring high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Job requirements

  • Educational Background & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 6-9 years in an operations manager role within a 24x7 team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience managing ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 and D365 F&O), DevOps/JIRA, ITSM tools (Freshworks or ServiceNow), Azure, ERP security roles, and monitoring tools like ManageEngine.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven history of designing, implementing, and managing processes end-to-end, with a strong focus on operational KPIs using PowerBI/Excel or other BI tools.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership skills with experience leading global teams in a matrix environment, fostering collaboration, and influencing decision-making processes.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to build strong relationships with business and IT leaders, project team members, and users.
  • Adaptability & Multi-tasking: Highly motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, with excellent multi-tasking skills and the capability to adapt to rapidly changing environments, including flexibility to work in a global 24x7 environment.
