Job description

The Team Leader Business Development will coordinate the sales activities of the business development team, focusing on equipment sales and key account management within the EMEA region for the construction (including lumber) and metals segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Coordination: Lead and manage the business development team to achieve sales targets and objectives for equipment sales in the construction and metals segments.

  • Key Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends within the EMEA region.

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and expand market share in the construction and metals segments.

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and training to the business development team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

  • Customer Engagement: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent Signode EMEA and engage with potential customers and partners.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. (Or equivalent knowledge gained by extensive experience.)

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, and key account management within the construction and metals industries.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Willingness to travel within the EMEA region as required.
