Position Summary:

Lead and manage the overall operations of Signode's Plastic Strap and Paper manufacturing facility at Rudrapur to achieve world-class standards in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability, and Employee Engagement. The role is responsible for ensuring profitable plant operations through operational excellence, continuous improvement, customer focus, and people development while maintaining compliance with all statutory and Signode global standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

§  Plant Leadership & Strategy: Provide overall leadership and direction for plant operations, Develop and execute annual operating plans aligned with business objectives.

§  Manufacturing Operations: Ensure achievement of production targets for Plastic Strap and Paper products, Optimize machine utilization, conversion cost, throughput, productivity, and OEE. Improve manufacturing efficiency through Lean, TPM, and Six Sigma methodologies.

§  Safety, Health & Environment: Foster a zero-harm safety culture, Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and Signode EHS standards. Conduct regular safety reviews, audits, and risk assessments. Lead initiatives for accident prevention and environmental sustainability.

§  Quality Management: Ensure consistent product quality meeting customer and international standards. Drive reduction in customer complaints and internal quality losses.

§  Supply Chain & Customer Service: Coordinate with procurement, planning, logistics, and sales teams. Ensure timely procurement of raw materials and uninterrupted plant operations. Improve inventory turn and working capital. Deliver OTIF commitments to customers.

§  Cost Management & Profitability: Own plant P&L performance. Control manufacturing costs and improve margins. Lead annual budgeting and capital expenditure planning.

§  Maintenance, Reliability & CAPEX: Ensure reliable operation of all manufacturing equipment and utilities. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance systems. Lead CAPEX projects from conceptualization to commissioning.

§  People Management: Lead a cross-functional team comprising Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR, Supply Chain. Develop talent and succession pipelines. Strengthen employee engagement and capability building. Manage industrial relations and statutory labour compliance.

Candidate Profile:

Qualification & Certification

 

§ B.Tech. in Polymer/Plastics/Manufacturing/Chemical/Mechanical/PGDPPT (CIPET) with

 

Experience

§ 12-15+ years of manufacturing experience.

§ Minimum 5 years in Plant Manager / Factory Head role.

§ Experience in Plastics, Polymer Processing, Packaging Materials, Strap Manufacturing, Paper Conversion, Industrial Products, or related industries.

§ Experience of handling large manufacturing teams and plant P&L responsibility.

Job requirements

B.Tech with 12-15+ years of manufacturing experience with 12-15+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years as Plant Manager/Factory Head.
