Job description
Process and reconcile accounts payable, ensure timely payments, and support compliance with financial and payables policies.
Prepare and file statutory returns, including VAT, WHVAT, WHT, KEBS, HELB, and income tax in coordination with the Finance Manager and tax consultant.
Liaise with government authorities to resolve tax and compliance issues promptly.
Support internal, external, and tax audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Perform reconciliations for accruals, prepayments, and statutory accounts.
Assist in monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
Maintain accurate records in the accounting system and ensure timely data entry.
Support inventory and cost accounting processes as needed.
Communicate with vendors and customers regarding financial matters.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Job requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong process-oriented mindset with keen attention to detail.
Highly organized, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field. Minimum B plain in high school.
CPA (K) or ACCA finalist.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
